Instrument Training Program
The instrument rating is probably the best thing that a private pilot can do to improve their safety, skills and comfort level as a pilot. It will improve their ability to control the aircraft and use its avionics and systems to their fullest potential.
Reno Flying Service uses the Jeppesen curriculum for instrument training but tailors it to meet the specific needs of each individual student. Our training materials include manuals, DVD and CD-Rom to provide you with the most effective training. An instrument student must complete 40 hours of simulated or actual instrument flight, with a minimum of 15 of those hours with an instructor. You will also have to pass a FAA written instrument exam, Administered by Lasergrade at the Reno Flying Service office to obtain your instrument rating. |
